"The Essential Judas Priest" lo mejor según la banda

En entrevista con Billboard.com, Glenn Tipton, anunció que durante el mes de febrero la banda comenzará a escribir los temas que se incluirán en su próximo disco de estudio.

Glenn Tipton explicó que “la prioridad será grabar el disco durante febrero”, dentro de una apretada agenda llena de conciertos y su propio trabajo personal de reedición de su primer disco solista "Baptizm of Fire"(1997) y la edición de grabaciones inéditas "Edge of the World" realizadas junto a John Entwistle, bajista de The Who, y el baterista Cozy Powell.
“Nos hemos tomado un descanso, hemos estado fuera casi dos años y vamos a tomarnos enero libre para luego empezar a escribir el nuevo disco en febrero. Haremos un concierto benéfico para el Teenage Cancer Trust en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres en abril y haremos algunos festivales veraniegos por Europa. Por ahora, nuestra prioridad será de todas maneras preparar el nuevo disco de Judas Priest.”

Por otro lado, el próximo 4 de abril saldrá al mercado el disco doble con lo mejor de Judas Priest, titulado “The Essential Judas Priest”y asi como con un libro de notas escrito por el veterano periodista Geoff Barton.
El álbum incluirá una colección de 34 canciones que recorren toda la carrera de la banda, la cual se prepara en estos días, según anunció Glenn Tipton.
